The Coffee Lab Series

Coffee Friends and Supporters of Building New Hope: 

Join us on Wednesday, March 17th from 6:00pm to explore the  depths of our coffee. Learn as we dissect what makes it so great and  how! 

Building New Hope would like to invite you to our upcoming Coffee Lab Series! Why does organic matter? How can coffee help birds? What benefits  do fair trade bring? Learn about the whole world within your cup of joy with Building New Hope’s new year long project THE COFFEE LAB SERIES 

This  project will consist of 5-6 events throughout the year (typically the  third week of every other month).  Each event will have a specific  topic/focus that pertains to our coffee.

Our first event in our Coffee Lab Series will be on Wednesday, March 17th from 6:00 PM.   David DiOrio of 19 Coffee Company will be our guest speaker.  He will  discuss the quality ranking and taste of coffee.  Do you want to be a coffee connoisseur?  What really makes a great cup of coffee?  Find out  here!

We will send out more  information regarding the upcoming events in our Coffee Lab Series closer to the dates.  We are planning additional topics of sustainability, what it means to be "bird-friendly", BNH education opportunities, fair trade benefits/challenges, etc.

Building  New Hope is proud to be the ONLY local Pittsburgh organization that has a direct trade relationship with an organic, bird-friendly coffee cooperative in Nicaragua (El Porvenir). Please learn more about the  work we do at www.buildingnewhope.org.
