RAISE FUNDS FOR YOUR OWN PROJECTS
PAY FARMERS A LIVABLE WAGE AND
INVEST IN COMMNUITY DEVELOPMENT IN CENTRAL AMERICA
“Working with Building New Hope is one of the best experiences my students have ever had. Building New Hope's coffee fundraiser has been a fantastic project for my students, for the school, for the community, and for myself. A very gratifying project. The product, gourmet coffee, was accepted much easier than the wrapping paper, magazine and candy drives we've had in the past. The coffee tastes great! In the two years we've had coffee sales for BNH, we've sold 600 lbs. and raised approximately $2500.”

This fundraising program has proven to be profitable, socially responsible, environmentally friendly and educational. It can be used to raise money for your group or organizations’ goals and serve as an excellent service project that helps poverty stricken families in Central America.
Who Wins?
• The farmers win: Our signature coffee comes from worker-owned cooperatives in Central America. Selling this coffee guarantees a fair market price and living wage for the farmers, and enables the families to stay on their land and improve their lives.
• The environment wins: Our coffee is certified organically grown by the OCIA (the Organic Crop Improvement Association), which means pesticide-free. The coffee is also shade grown, providing crucial habitats for migratory birds
• Your purchasers win: Our coffee is roasted as orders are received by a premier Pittsburgh roaster, La Prima Espresso Co. These hand-picked, patio dried Arabica beans are roasted to a light French roast, yielding a medium body, crisp, full flavor cup of coffee.
• Building New Hope wins: For every pound of coffee you sell, BNH is able to devote funds to other health, education and development projects in Central America.
• You win: “This is the best and easiest fundraiser I have ever been involved with!” (Jeff Poole) You raise funds for your valuable programs while providing educational opportunities for your students and members.

“From a teacher’s perspective, the connection with Building New Hope has worked out really well because it combines service, language, culture, and economics. I hope to continue or expand this program next year.”
